Planning the week in Tide for Mac with upcoming days, calendar events and longer-term projects
Your timeline, Horizon and Projects. All in view.

A timeline that moves with your work

Plan ahead. Focus on today.
Let finished tasks drift back.

Scroll through your days, with today at the centre of your attention. Tasks gather in today; completing them sends them into the past on the Tide.

HORIZON

Get it out of your head.

Brainstorm into Unplaced. Capture longer-term tasks and ideas without having to choose a day for every thought.

TIDE

Give it a day.

Drag tasks onto the scrolling timeline. Today is your focus, with the days ahead there when you need to plan further.

PROJECTS

Keep the bigger plan together.

Group related tasks into projects. Move tasks between Projects, Horizon and the Tide as your plans take shape.

Your calendar shows the commitments.

Calendar events appear in the timeline, so you can see the gaps before allocating tasks to a day.

Drag and drop keeps plans flexible.

Move tasks between Horizon, days on the Tide and Projects. Change the plan as the day changes.

A quick guide

Start with what’s on your mind.

  1. Capture in Horizon. Add tasks and ideas to Unplaced without choosing a date.
  2. Look at your timeline. Scroll through the Tide and see the calendar events already in your days.
  3. Drag a task onto a day. Allocate what fits, and group related work in Projects.
  4. Let today move on. Mark tasks done and let them drift into the past.
