Reporting a problem
Please include your device, macOS or iOS version, Tide version, and what happened. If you can, describe the steps that led to the issue and what you expected instead.
Screenshots can help, but remove private task details first. Never send your Apple Account password or verification codes.
Common questions
How do I sync my Mac and iPhone?
Use the same Apple Account on both devices, with iCloud available to Tide. Check that both devices have an internet connection and available iCloud storage. Open Tide on each device and allow time for changes to sync.
My tasks aren’t syncing. What should I try?
Check your Apple Account, internet connection and iCloud settings first. Keep both apps up to date. If changes still don’t appear, contact support with the affected devices and app versions. Avoid deleting the app or its iCloud data while troubleshooting.
What’s the difference between Tide and Horizon?
Horizon is where you brainstorm longer-term, Unplaced tasks without assigning a date. The Tide is your scrolling timeline: allocate tasks to days, focus on today, and let completed tasks drift into the past. The Projects area groups related tasks into bigger plans. You can drag and drop tasks between these zones.
Where do completed tasks go?
When you mark a task done, it drifts into the past on the Tide. Scroll back through the timeline to look at completed work; today stays focused on the tasks that remain.
How do calendar events help me plan?
Calendar syncing brings events into the Tide, alongside your tasks. Use those commitments to spot gaps in your schedule, then allocate tasks to days yourself.
Can I change a task’s plan?
Yes. Drag and drop tasks between days on the Tide, Horizon and Projects as your plans change.
Where can I find a quick guide?
See the Mac quick guide for an introduction to days, Horizon, projects and task organisation.
Can the developer see my tasks?
Your task data is stored on your devices and in your private iCloud storage. Tide does not send your task database to the developer. Information you choose to include in a support email is visible to the recipient. Read the privacy policy for details.
Where can I download Tide?
